About Us

Our Mission

To provide an accepting, respectful, caring environment for Coppell students to create and improve their writing while making connections with other student writers.

What We Do

We are a group of passionate students that strive to connect with other young writers in order to grow in our art form. By connecting virtually and in-person, we hope to create a thriving community to support each other and our pursuits within writing, no matter what they may be.

If you are interested in joining, please fill out our membership form to become a member and to receive email updates from the association! And follow us on Instagram at @coppellyoungwriters to keep up with us there as well! We hope to see many of you soon!

How We Work

Meetings will be held according to availability and demand. We will be holding all of our meetings in person. We will usually meet at CHS in room C231 (Mr. Bowden's room). The details about the meetings will be conveyed through our Schoology Group. (You can also find them in the member resources page of our website).

Our meetings are comprised of mini workshops, forums for feedback, and mentoring. (More information about specific projects can be found in the FAQ section.)

Constant attendance at our meetings is not required to be a member. However, if someone isn't actively participating, an officer will reach out to confirm their desire to be in the club.
